His breathing is fast and shallow, the magic siphoning off him dancing over his skin in red arcs. It's lovely, almost like home.
"You deserve this, ice Guardian," Cynder says with glee, pacing around him. "Your friend, the yellow one, said some very incriminating things."
She's lying, of course. It's fun to goad these males, unravel them before leaving them to die in the elements. Really, what else is there to do for fun in this backwater jungle?
A tear rolls down Cyril's cheek and she can't help but smile.

I actually made myself feel bad for Cyril here. Sure, he's an arrogant jerk, but that's just mean to do, even to him. Seems like something Dark Cynder would do, though. Inspired by the first sight we see of Cyril in the game, in which he looks really dead (I was surprised that both he and Volteer were right on their feet so quickly after their rescues).
