Titled thus because one of my girls at the Buddy Program used to ask for "huggies" when she wanted a hug. ^_^
I was originally going to do my usual line art with this and then color it, but I was feeling experimental. The background is colored pencil and the dragons were done with Crayola crayon over colored pencil. I was right about starting Cynder's colors with blue: it does look better.  I'm not really sure what to think of this one. On the one hand, I am very fond of it because I love the poses and I put a lot of effort into the colors. On the other hand, I'm not quite satisfied with how it all turned out. As an aside, the original drawing is much lighter. I used Photoshop to darken it up. Also, you get another sneak peak at my sloppy sketchwork. I erased nothing in this piece. Inspired by a request on the Spyro the Dragon Forums. Spyro and Cynder belong to Krome Studios, Vivendi Universal, and Sierra. My copyright is on the image. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
